PROJECT „CONSTRUCTION OF THE TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT (GIS) MPWIK WROCŁAW INCLUDING INVENTORY AND HYDRAULIC MODELLING OF THE WATER SUPPLY AND SEWAGE SYSTEM”
On 19 January 2010 on the basis of the co-financing agreement concluded with the Lower Silesian Marshall Office, MPWiK was granted a subsidy to implement the Project „Construction of the technical infrastructure management (GIS) MPWiK Wrocław including inventory and hydraulic modelling of the water supply and sewage system”
The subject of the Project is the construction of the Technical Infrastructure Management System (GIS) MPWiK Wrocław including inventory and hydraulic modelling of the water supply and sewage system, being one of the components of the Integrated IT – System (ZSI), being implemented gradually by MPWiK Wrocław for several years.
To illustrate, it will be a map of Wrocław and partially of the neighbouring communes presenting a complete waterworks and sewerage network. However, it will not be a simple map. It will provide all the necessary information to MPWiK – operating personnel, MPWiK – Customer Service Office, investors, designers, surveyors, the municipal services, and first of all to residents. A map or rather a database will be only an illustration allowing to collect all information regarding the waterworks and sewerage network. Among others will be available the data regarding the pipeline diameters and age as well as information on malfunctions, eventual development of the water supply and sewage system, and on the water pressure on the given area. To create such a database it will be necessary to collect in one place information on such a large waterworks and sewerage network.
The database will be based on the GIS – technology (Geographic Information System), allowing to enter, collect, process and visualize the geographical data.
The total net value of the Project amounts to 4 987 832,50 PLN (6 085 155,15 PLN gross), of which 70% i.e. 3 491 382,75 PLN will be financed by EU funds.
The Project is to be completed on 30 April 2011
